Office of Grants & Contracts

Grants & Contracts is dedicated to assisting faculty and staff with pre-award and some post-award activities for externally funded research, scholarship and student success programs. Our staff work closely with sponsoring agencies, Principal Investigators, and the University Corporation at Monterey Bay to provide professional and timely assistance and direction.

Grants & Contracts is also the administrative arm and operational support for the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects (CPHS). The Provost has appointed the CPHS to ensure the protection of the rights of human subjects and serve as the university's Institutional Review Board (IRB) for purposes of local, state, and federal requirements.

Grants & Contracts staff also provide operational support for the Faculty Incentive Grants (FIG) and CSU Student Research Competition (SRC) awards.

To learn more about Grants & Contracts, or use the tools we support such as InfoEd our electronic research administration (eRA) portal for grant funding opportunity searches and proposal/award tracking or CITI human subjects protections training, please navigate to the appropriate section using the links to the left side of this window.
